One key way to save money when you travel is to make sure you have what you need.  The last thing you want to do is to waste money running out to a store in a vacation spot, looking for something you forgot to pack.

Here are some nifty travel gadgets that can simplify your packing and at the same time, be useful to your travel.

• Travel Steam Iron:  What I like about steamers is that you can use them in those tiny European hostel rooms on your budget European vacation, where you might not necessarily have an ironing board handy.  I’ve taken the wrinkles out of fancy evening dresses using a steamer.  
• The Versipack:  This is a chic looking (although not very glam) version of the “fanny pack” that holds all the important items you need.  It’s great because you can keep your passports and other documents closeby, in case you don’t have a hotel or hostel with a safe.
• Nylon Travel Shoulder Bag: This one is a lot more chic than the Versipack, but it’s also a bit bigger.  I like the look and the simplicty.
•  5 Language European Translator:  You absolutely need to be conversant if you plan to travel to Europe.  This is a great way to translate the everday phrases you need in Europe. It’s also really cheap!
•  International Plug Adapters & Voltage Converter Set:  This is a must-have when you travel internationally.  This way, you can take the gadgets you already have and you don’t need to worry about whether or not they’ll work in the electrical outlets at your destination.
