After posting numerous posts on bargain hunting and discount deals, I thought I would take this time to get back to the root of the blog: Affordable living.

Let’s be real– the econonmy is not picking up just yet. While there are signs of life and some signs of recovery, we’re still in murky waters.

Living on a budget doesn’t have to mean that you need to live like a pauper. If you’re smart, you can find ways to stretch that dollar. Be a wise spender. Have a prudent purse. The prudent purse, or essentially, wise spending, is the ticket to affordable luxury.

You can’t have affordable luxury without knowing affordable gourmet.  I’m a foodie, but being a foodie on a budget can be tricky.  I’ll definitely be posting articles on being a budget foodie in the long run.  But for now, check out my top five “budget foodie” and affordable gourmet websites. 

Essentially, cooking at home is just a great way to save money as it is, so any good cooking blog can really be a “budget foodie” blog.  Nevertheless, here is my list:
